In Search of Konstantinov's Language
List of Famous Works of the Monumental Artist Viktor Konstantinov.
Viktor Konstantinov was born in the Russian outback of Irkutsk region, fought at the front and only at the age of 32 received an art education in one of the most iconic educational institutions in Leningrad.
"Ala-Too" wide-screen cinema was opened in 1938. The building was designed by architect V. Kalmykov. The cinema has 2 halls - 512 seats and 280 seats. The facade of the building is decorated with ceramic panels-reliefs created in 1963. Sculptors are V. Konstantinov, A. Voronin, S. Bakashev, A. Kamenskiy, V. Khabibulin. The panels are dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's accession to Russia.

The panel is a seven-part composition consisting of 6 separate parts with dimensions of 1x2.5 m and a central part with a size of 2.5x2.5 m. One of the parts shows inscription "Kyrgyzstan - Russia", the other shows the years "1863-1963". Others depict a cosmonaut, hammer and sickle, a man with pigeons, the central part of the composition shows a woman with a sprout, background has two women and a man reading a book, which fully symbolizes achievements of the Soviet Republics - labor, cosmonautics, education and preservation of peace.

Ala-Too cinema is the oldest and one of the most famous in Bishkek. It is considered a cultural monument of the Kyrgyz Republic.

He moved to Almaty from Bishkek (at that time Frunze), where he also created objects of monumental art.
Over the years of his life in Almaty, Viktor Innokentyevich left many works, both on the facades of buildings and independent compositions. Here we publish only the most famous of his creations.
